Configuring the Control Panel Login via LDAP

Configure the Control Panel authentication to use the credentials from your Active Directory.

You have activated the LDAP connection to your directory service.

  1. Navigate to Service Dashboard > LDAP Connection.
  2. Toggle the switch Authentication in the Control Panel with LDAP credentials under Control Panel login.

The additional field LDAP filter is displayed below the switch.

  3. Enter a filter for the users or groups into the LDAP filter field for which you want to be able to log in to the Control Panel with credentials from the directory service.
    Note:

The expression proxyaddresses=* is used to select all users from a Microsoft Active Directory.

  4. To make sure that the login to the Control Panel works with LDAP, you can check it by clicking on Test login (see: Performing a Login Test via LDAP).
  5. Click on Apply changes in the lower window area.

    Your changes are applied.

    Note:

The synchronization of data from the directory service is performed hourly. For this reason, the result of your settings may not be effective for up to two hours.

The Control Panel login via LDAP has been configured.

Important:

The login via LDAP option remains effective so long the settings of the LDAP connection remain unchanged. If the settings of the LDAP connection change, the login via LDAP option must be deactivated and reactivated with the switch Authentication in the Control Panel with LDAP credentials in order to become effective again.
