Deactivating Email Encryption

You can deactivate Email Encryption if you no longer want to use this service.

You have activated Email Encryption.

If you no longer want to encrypt your emails with Email Encryption, you can deactivate Email Encryption. The settings in the module will be kept in case you want to reactivate Email Encryption later.

  1. Log in to the Control Panel with your administrative credentials.
  2. From the scope selection, select the domain for which you would like to deactivate Email Encryption.
  3. Navigate to Security Settings > Email Encryption.
  4. Toggle the switch Activate Email Encryption.

    A confirmation window opens.

  5. Click on Confirm.

    The settings in the Email Encryption module are disabled. No further input is possible.

Email Encryption has been deactivated.

Note:

The deactivation of Email Encryption does not result in the termination of the contract for this service. This also applies, in particular, to contracts for S/MIME certificates. To terminate a contract, you must contact your contact person.
