Setting an SPF Record

If you would like to use SPF checks, set an SPF record in the DNS zone of your domain.

If you would like to use the SPF check for incoming emails, set an SPF record in the DNS zone of your domain.

Important:

Register all servers that are authorized to send emails from your domain in the SPF record.

  1. Set the following TXT record for the servers of Hornetsecurity in your DNS zone:

    Example:

    v=spf1 include:spf.hornetsecurity.com ~all

    This TXT record authorizes all servers of Hornetsecurity to send emails in the name of your domain. If emails are sent via other servers, the SPF check performed by the recipient results in a softfail mechanism.

  2. If you use other services that are authorized to send emails in the name of your domain, such as newsletter services or ERP and ticket systems, add them to the TXT record.
    Note:

    If you cannot configure the settings on your own, contact the responsible provider.

You have set an SPF record in the DNS zone.
