Changing a Password

You can change the password for a manually added mailbox in the Customer Settings > Mailboxes module.

You can change the password for a manually added mailbox in the Customer Settings > Mailboxes module.

Note:

The passwords for Microsoft 365 mailboxes or mailboxes that are synchronized via LDAP cannot be changed in the Control Panel.

  1. Log in to the Control Panel with your administrative credentials.
  2. Select the domain from the scope selection.
  3. Navigate to Customer Settings > Mailboxes.
  4. Click on the menu arrow next to the mailbox whose password you want to change.

    A menu opens.

  5. Click on Change password.

    A menu opens.

  6. Enter the new password in the New password field.
    Important:

    The new password must comply with the password polices from the Password policy & IPs module (see Password Policy & IPs).

  7. Click on Apply changes.

    The password is saved. A confirmation message is displayed.

The password for a manually created mailbox has been changed.
